MPolish Get Lost Over Trust Fund Beauty

I received a lovely gift from a friend during a polish swap and boy did she do good picking it out for me!  This is MPolish stamping polish over Trust Fund Beauty Resting Bitch Face!  Read on for more info and pics!

You may notice a couple of things with this post.  Number one, I got a light box!!  Whoop whoop!  Yes, I know I need to get rid of those wrinkles, sorry they are a bit distracting...  I also got myself an Ottlite lamp for better lighting in my photos!  I also changed my Instagram handle just a bit.  I removed the underscores for ease of typing the handle.  Now you can find my page at IG@dancerspolishedlife.
MPolish is a press sample. TFB was a gift. All other polishes purchased by me.
I was not compensated for this review.  All opinions are my own.

L-R: Qtica Nail Growth Stimulator, OPI Nail Envy, Trust Fund Beauty Resting Bitch Face, MPolish Get Lost, KBShimmer Clearly On Top

Now, for the mani!  I started out with a coat of Qtica Natural Nail Growth Stimulator, followed by a coat of OPI Nail Envy.  A quick note about the Qtica, I feel like it may be working pretty well.  My middle nail on my glory hand is growing back pretty quickly after I broke it a month ago.  Could be a fluke, but I'm chalking it up to this product!

Next I used two coats of Trust Fund Beauty Resting Bitch Face.  First, about the name of this polish.  Hilarious.  And very fitting for me, as I've been asked far too many times what is wrong, to which I reply, "This is my face.  My regular, I'm not feeling any emotion at the moment, face."  I also hear RBF keeps you wrinkle-free longer, so... WINNING!  Lol.  So, this polish is a beautiful duo chrome that flashes purple and steel blue with a bit of green in between.  I don't think I fully captured the shifts of RBF, but it is so stunning in person.

Trust Fund Beauty Resting Bitch Face is opaque in one coat, but I did two for good measure.  It has a metallic finish so it's easy to get brush strokes.  I made sure to use generous coats when I polished, and tried to avoid overworking the polish, although it is easy to work with.  No staining and it did not flood my cuticles.  You can also see a bit of a blue shimmer in Resting Bitch Face.  Pretty, right?

I used my Uber Chic Beauty plate 1-02 for stamping over RBF.  I truly adore these stamping plates1  There are so many unique images and they are etched perfectly.  I get a full stamp not matter how thick or thin the lines are.  I am so jumping on her next release!  Should be sometime the end of this month, the beginning of May!!

So I started with just one image from the plate, and stamped with MPolish Get Lost.  I thought this looked great, but it was a little too subtle for me.  I needed to jazz it up a little more.  I added a butterfly to the vines using MPolish Penny, but I still needed more.

So I added in MPolish Fresh Perspective for another little pop of color.  I also struggled to get a good shot of this mani without too much glare.

Below I have a couple of macros for you to show the detail of this stamping.  The first is Get Lost, which is a beautiful bold green with a bit of shimmer in it.  It can be used over light and dark colors.  Get Lost is part of MPolish's newest collection, Polish Of My People, which is available for sale now!  You can find the listing on MPolish's website here.

Fresh Perspective is also from the Polish Of My People collection.  Fresh Perspective is a bold pink that also stamps well over light and dark colors.  Both of these polishes are 5-free, cruelty-free, and made in the USA.  These polishes are meant for stamping, but they can also be used as a base polish. They have no scent, which is fantastic for a stamping polish!  MPolish also doesn't smear when top coated.

I also wanted to say I'm sorry for my terrible cleanup job.  I have some spots around my nails that just would not clean up no matter how much I scrubbed with acetone.  I think they just needed some extra moisturizing.  What is your go-to cuticle treatment for keeping the area around your nails soft and easy to clean up?

  2. I love the stamping on your index and pinky nails the most. I feel you about the cuticles. The struggle is real. I also have that problem!

  7. This is awesome! I love the double stamping and the color combos. I also get dry spots that stain like that. All I can do is soak with an ultra moisturizing oil after polishing then wash my hands and hope for the best.

  11. Resting bitch face, haha!!! A tip for the wrinkles in your lightbox (assuming the white backdrop is detachable): iron it! It took me 6 months of wrinkles to realize..hey, maybe I should just iron it lol.

  17. This is gorgeous! Resting Bitch Face is super pretty! I love the balm from Dream Polish lately. It's soft, it absorbs quickly and it works really well at keeping my cuticles moisturized. It has jojoba, so it absorbs into the nail if you wear it naked, too.
