Born Pretty Store Decals and Tweezer Review

Hey there!  Welcome back!  I'll try to keep this short and sweet, since it seems the busy life even after the holidays is still a theme.

Today I have a review of two products from Born Pretty Store, as well as some beautiful holo polish!  Read on for more pics and info!
Pahlish Sugar Plum Marshmallow and Born Pretty Store Water Decals

Well this is a first!  My first time using water decals, that is.  I've always felt like it was "cheating" to use them.  Silly, right?  Well, they are awesome in a pinch!  Shown below are Arabesque Water Decals that can be found on the Born Pretty Store website!

Born Pretty Store Arabesque Water Decals
Directions: Polish and topcoat your nails.  Cut around the design you want to use, peel off the clear covering, dip it in water for 10-15 seconds, wet your nail for ease of positioning the decal, place the decal where you want it, let it dry or dab the excess water with a paper towel, topcoat, and boom; done.  Be careful when you are manipulating it on your nail and when you topcoat, though.  I had a couple of spots where I lost part of the design.  Whoops.  Totally my fault and can be easily prevented by working carefully and floating your topcoat.

Now, the polish.  I used Pahlish Sugar Plum Marshmallow on my thumb, index, and pinky fingers.  I consider Sugar Plum Marshmallow to be a dusty lavender with strong purple shimmer and linear holo complete with silver shredded flakes, which you can see well in my macro above.  Here I've shown three coats, but it could be opaque in two.  The holo flame was marvelous!

On my middle and ring fingers, I did a regular gradient with Vapid Lacquer Cryogenic Refrigerant, Pahlish Sugar Plum Marshmallow, and Vapid Lacquer Grape Stomp.  I made four passes before it became opaque enough that I was happy.  Again, you get that lovely holo flame among all three of these polishes.  I used two of the Born Pretty Store water decals as you can see below.  I topped everything off with KBShimmer Clearly on Top quick dry topcoat.

Hey, do you need a great pair of stainless steel needle-nose tweezers?  Born Pretty Store has them, too!  These are the #1 version on the Born Pretty Store website.  They work wonderfully for both eyebrows and nail art!  I actually used them when I dipped and held the decals in the water, and also to peel my latex barrier off my skin.  They can also be used to pick and place rhinestones.  The tweezers are very sturdy, and even come with a cover since the tip is sharp.
