L-R: Qtica Natural Nail Growth Stimulator, OPI Nail Envy, Bear Pawlish Peek A Boo, MPolish Iron, MPolish Baroque (I ended up not using this one), Bear Pawlish Oso Quick topcoat |
For this mani, I used Bear Pawlish Peek A Boo as my base color, over a coat of Qtica Natural Nail Growth Stimulator and a coat of OPI Nail Envy. WOAH. I love Bear Pawlish, and Peek A Boo certainly did not disappoint! Below is one coat of Peek A Boo. One glorious coat!

Peek A Boo is a hot pink polish with a linear holo and a bit of a duochrome effect. It definitely has a touch of coral in certain lights, and a strong blue flash in all lights. I absolutely adore the brushes in these polishes. They are perfect for my nails. Anyway, back to Peek A Boo, formula is perfect, self-leveling, non-staining, and hugely pigmented. Below is two coats with no topcoat. It dries pretty quickly and to a shiny finish.

Since I was stamping, I topped it with a coat of topcoat. Bear Pawlish just released a Four-Free quick dry topcoat called Oso Quick. OMG. It's crazy awesome. It dries so fast and dries to a super shiny finish. I ended up using wayyyy too much at first, which makes me laugh because the brush is pretty small but apparently holds a lot of polish. I had no shrinkage with this, except for on the very tips of my thumbnails, but that was user error. I topped them with topcoat, then when it was completely dry I topped them again for extra protection (I like a lot of layers on my nails; it keeps my preciouses safe...Lol). I had no issues with the rest of my nails.

Let's talk metallic stamping polish. The first one of the collection that I have to show you today is called Iron by MPolish. Iron is a fabulously bold gunmetal silver. It can be worn over light or dark polishes. Iron is extremely pigmented but I had no staining with it. I used the Pet'la Oorie plate for my stamping images. Iron was so easy to use with the Pet'la plate. I got a smooth scrape and full transfer every time.

The sun decided to play for a short bit, so I was able to catch a bit of the holo in Peek A Boo, shown below.

And since I finally caved and bought a macro lens for my iPhone 6, I present to you some true macro shots of my mani!! Look at the stamping, it's nearly a perfect image!
