Crazy Pinwheel Watermarbles Errrwhere!

I needed some bright neons in my life, so I made a suggestion about doing Bestie Twin Nails with a friend, which turned into Bestie Quadruplet Nails with two more friends, and I am loving the end result!  Read on for more pics and info!

Pinwheel Watermarble and Stamped Mani

I am trying to dig myself out of a dark hole as the sun is now shining, and neon polish is definitely a quick way to boost my spirits.  I have been wanting to try a pinwheel watermarble and figured this was a great time to do it.  This mani is a collaboration between four of us and I just love how it all came together!
Nothing to disclose.  All purchased by me.

Avert your eyes!  I'm naked!

I am thrilled with the length I am getting now that my nails are filed into points.  The fact that there aren't any corners to chip off means I don't have to file them down that often since my nails aren't breaking.  Winning!!  At least on my glory hand...  Cindy is not faring so well.  Above you can see my naked natural nails with a base coat on.

Anyway, so pinwheel watermarbles.  What??  My mind was blown when I saw someone sporting a pinwheel marble and I wondered how the hell they accomplished that and more importantly, how could I get that awesomeness on my nails.  I watched a 15-second IG video over and over, probably no less than 50 times.  Why you ask?  Why not just check out a YouTube video?  Well, the honest answer is because lazy.  Too much work to find one amidst the bajillion watermarble videos on YouTube, plus I was confident I could get the gist from that 15-second video... Meh, I can do this!!

Pinwheel design in my watermarble cup

Not too bad!!  I used the entire Hard Knock Life collection from In The Name Of Polish.  This collection of neon jelly polishes is perfect for watermarbling.  I used a plastic container and distilled water for my watermarble setup (you can find a pic of my container in one of my previous blog posts here).  These polishes spread like magic.  I really need to try this technique in a smaller cup so I can get more of the spiral on my nail!

Watermarble with In The Name Of Polish HKL collection, no topcoat

By the way, I started with a base of OPI Alpine Snow in two coats on all of my nails.  I left my middle finger white for some stamping.  ;-)

I stamped with Sinful Colors Black on Black and Uber Chic Beauty plate 1-01.  Crazy indeed!

Colors are a bit muted here compared to in real life

And of course, I'm giving the middle finger to my Cindy middle finger.  Seriously, can you please grow without breaking and peeling?!?  Please???  Also, again, Cindy hand is good for testing things...  Look at that hot mess on my index finger!

Eff you, crazy Cindy middle finger!!

Without further adieu, I give you our Bestie Quadruplet Nails collab!  Clockwise from the left we have Megatuce (blog here), Ineedamani (blog here), myself, and ThePolishedPerspective (blog here)!  Fabulous job, ladies!

Then wouldn't you know it.... Darn nails breaking all over the place on Cindy.  *sigh*  That index finger peeled in half!  In layers!!  Boooo...

MEN DOWN!

But I'll be damned if I'm cutting them all down!!  Who's with me??!?

Nope.  Not gonna happen.  Grow, dammit, GROW!

  8. That pinwheel watermarble is awesome! I love the way it looks in the container. You should've zoomed in and taken a macro, it would make a great background pic for something, like a phone background. Other thing, when I first saw these I thought, what a cool stamp, I wonder what plate it's from. And now that I read the post I realized that I already own that plate, so maybe I can recreate these some day.
