F.U.N Lacquer Summer 2015 Collection

**pic heavy post**

Oooo, do I have some gorgeous in store for you.  I have the F.U.N Lacquer Summer 2015 collection to share with you!  This collection may seem a bit out of place in summer, surrounded by crazy neon collections and whatnot, but this is a welcome bit of "different," reminiscent of clear summer nights under a sky full of twinkling stars.  Read on for more pics and info about these six stunning holographic polishes!

F.U.N Lacquer Summer 2015 Collection

Well, thanks to Blogger not saving my post, this blog post will be shorter than intended since I just don't have it in me to retype it all.  Good news for you, you just get to look at swatches of glorious polishes!

I purchased this F.U.N Lacquer Summer 2015 collection from Live Love Polish the day they released and had them in my mailbox only five days later!  LLP has some awesome customer service, and also includes a personal touch with your package when you order from them.  I highly recommend ordering from Live Love Polish!

L-R: Goodness of the Dawn, Blue Tears, Green Foliage, Moonlight Nocturne, Seductive Marmalade, Glitzy Glam
Nothing to disclose

I used two coats of polish in my swatches below.  I had no staining issues at all and only minor problems with some patchiness on the first coat, but the second evened out quite well.  I do use a base coat, which can hinder staining from the polish, so I would say use a base coat with these just in case.  All swatches are topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top topcoat, except in the full mani sunlight shot.  In those photos I used Essie Matte About You topcoat on my ring finger over Clearly on Top to show a different way to wear these polishes.  Keep in mind that it almost completely blocks the wonderful holo in this polish, but it still offers a bit of an edge to these awesome colors.  I cannot attest to wear time on any other than two of them: Green Foliage and Seductive Marmalade.  I will mention those below.  I had no issues removing the polish with Zoya Remove+.  These polishes came off much easier than regular glitter nail polish.

Goodness of the Dawn

Starting with the spicy red in the group, here is Goodness of the Dawn.  This is described by F.U.N as "a vibrant candy apply red holographic polish with different sizes of micro gold holographic glitters"
I didn't really get the candy apple red until I stepped out into the sunlight.  However, it is a stunning cinnamon-y crimson red with loads of sparkle indoors.

Just an FYI, this was the only macro shot taken indoors under an Ottlite.  All others are shown in sunlight.

Blue Tears

This blue hologasm is appropriately called Blue Tears.  It is described by F.U.N as "a vibrant cobalt blue holographic polish with different sizes of micro gold holographic glitters"
Blue Tears is definitely vibrant, especially in the sun!

Green Foliage

Perfectly named Green Foliage, this surprise favorite is described by F.U.N as "a elegant classy earth green with different sizes of micro gold holographic gold glitter"
Yep, hit the nail on the head there!  I did not show this one with a matted ring finger because I ended up wearing it for four days!  No chips or issues, I actually just ruined this mani while painting my friends' nails.  But their end results were gorgeous!  ;-)

Moonlight Nocturne

So it seems there is a typo on my label, how interesting!  But this slice of delight is called Moonlight Nocturne, described by F.U.N as "a deep purple holographic polish with different sizes of micro gold holographic glitters"
I definitely saw a bit more blue than purple while swatching, and it wasn't just the colors that my camera captured.  But this is like a galaxy in a bottle for sure!

Seductive Marmalade

Oh yes, bow chicka wow wow!  I'm hungry and turned on all at the same time!  :-p  Seductive Marmalade is described by F.U.N as "a juicy orange-red holographic polish with different sizes of micro gold holographic glitters"
I previously wore Seductive Marmalade for four days as well.  Again, I had no chips or any other wear issues (I barely had tip wear!), it was just time for another mani.  =)

Glitzy Glam

To round out this fabulous collection, here is Glitzy Glam, described by F.U.N as "a rich vivid turquoise/teal holographic polish with different sizes of micro gold holographic glitters"
This appears to be similar in color to F.U.N Lacquer Secret, however Secret is teal and turquoise micro glitter in a clear base, while the base of Glitzy Glam is teal/turquoise with holo glitter.  I think they are different enough to own both, but that's just my own opinion.

All in all I was thoroughly impressed with this collection.  It is hard for me to pick a favorite of this bunch since they are all so amazingly gorgeous and easy to work with.  Another plus side to this collection is that you can wear them in Summer, but they also make a nice transition to Autumn as well.

Which is your favorite?

The entire Summer 2015 collection is currently still available for sale at Live Love Polish for $89.99. They are also sold individually, but it looks like most are out of stock at the moment.  I don't believe this was a limited edition collection, so they will likely be restocked at F.U.N Lacquer as well as their various stockists.
